Wedding of Cana

Wedding of Cana

The miracle of the wedding at Cana is told in John 2:1-12.

At the beginning of Jesus’s ministry, he attended a wedding celebration in the village of Cana in Galilee. During the celebration, the wine ran out. Mary went to Jesus to inform him that there was no more wine, saying. However, Jesus replied, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” So, Mary, still confident that he would do something, told the servants to listen to Jesus and do whatever he says.

Jesus told the servants to fill up six stone water jars, and serve it. The ruler of the feast tasted the water, and realized that it was wine. The steward of the feast then called the bridegroom and congratulated him for keeping ‘the good wine’ back until this point in the feast. After this miracle, Jesus Christ began his ministry.
